Brutus: Seventh inning stretch!
Not entirely true, Dr. Watson. I’ve been to a game or two where a fight broke out. In fact, I was at a game in Baltimore during Cal Ripken, Jr.‘s streak where a scuffle broke out in the top of the first inning while the O’s were in the field. At the time it was thought that if Cal got tossed, it would end the streak (an umpire’s insult infuriated Cal; it took a few teammates to pull him off); however, per rule 10.23©, an ejection by an umpire would not have ended the streak.
