Gran reads the card and says: "Somebody sent you an anniversary card? Four years after your divorce?" Juliette thinks: "Go ahead, the wound's reopened... ...Rub in my failure." Gran says: "Well, all I have to say, Sweetheart, is you were really gutsy to take the stand you did when you dumped Jack, and I admire and love you." Gran is in the hallway corridor with Edda, and appears apprehensive. She thinks: "When your granddaughter invokes the words, 'or else,' you take it seriously." Edda looks tough with her arms folded. Juliette is in the other room with a happy expression on her face.
