Dr. Dark, Knight of the Black is very old by human standards. One of the very few super humans that appear once very 700 million births. More robust physically and practially came out talking.
Dr. Dark when he left the dying Japanese Empire he took a modified Japanese D-400 as payment for his services. The largest sub of its time. It was fully loaded. It was designed to launch 3 fighters from it.
Dr. Dark is far older than they realize. Look to the stories of the Black knight. His powers are remarkable both physically and mentally. Though he can consciously slow his aging he isn’t immortal——yet. His ability to resurrect the dead is just one of his eventual choices for himself. He adapts very readily to our modern age as he has done with successive ages going back to at least the beginning of the previous millennium. Maybe longer. Read the book, see the movie, “The Power” or an example of such a super-mutant of humanity. Also the short story, “The House and the Brain” (1859) by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. All talk about such people existing and yet hidden in plain sight. Only one in a billion and even then so many things can go wrong for them to be even born. Dr. Dark was one of them and he chose to get out in the world and be known. Especially during and just before World War II (1931 – 1945). Starting with Japan’s invasion of China and ending with its down fall by two atomic bombs.
He always has several projects going at once and much more besides. When you don’t have to sleep he can work many hours straight without fatigue as a normal person would have collapsed.
