Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for June 04, 2007
Transcript:
"Someone once compared a comic strip to a little play, and rightly so." "You have to have a cast, a plot, a set, dialogue, all the elements of theater." "This week, we're going to take you backstage at Arlo and Janis!" "Admit it!! You're writing me out!" "No! Your role is...evolving!" "We go through this every script session!"
Many child actors don’t cope well when they grow out of child roles. Some disappear, some fall into substance abuse, some go to extremes to “reinvent themselves” (usually involving nude photos and wild antics), and a few go to college, graduate and carry on with their lives. In this latter category, Ron Howard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jodie Foster, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Shirley Temple immediately spring to mind.
