Janis: Clothing catalogs?! Arlo: I'm tired of looking like a slob! Arlo: But look at this guy! He has on the same sort of things I wear! Janis: "He doesn't look like a slob!" Arlo: Well, I'm not going to wear my clothes two sizes too small, if that's what it takes!
Some people, like me, are like “Pig Pen” in Peanuts, we get rumpled and dirty walking through snow drifts. I am now retired and I look it. After 25+ years of being an engineer trying to look “professional” in dirty, dusty, hot Florida job sites, I’ve gone jeans and teeshirts. I once led an attorney on a field trip through a swamp. We ruined at least $2000 worth of shoes and clothes, including a very nice pair of Italian alligator shoes. (He could afford it though.)
