Why does Darryl (and Calvin’s father) make up such outrageous stuff? I realize there are some concepts that would be difficult for her to grasp, but it’s better to give her a simplified version of the truth rather than this nonsense.
When she learns the truth, she’ll either be hurt that you lied to her when she asked sincere questions or come to believe you’re incredibly stupid… perhaps both.
