Wow… we have ballet bassets,
in a lovely poster, by SteBel…
for the July 21st 2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa.

I love ballet…. and this is a beautiful movie.
Of course, I don’t think I can actually watch the whole thing…
I saw clips, and the trailer.
It may not be obvious, but it’s a horror film… way too scary for me.
Montana Lady… you are warned!
We can go sit in the back row, and run behind it whenever we need to…
somebody said they put in a bar back there, just for us!
Any of the rest of you who want to join us on Scaredycat Row are welcome.
And yes… StelBel and PerkyCat will probably sit in the front row,
munching kibblecorn as though it were the Howdy Doody show.
They’re made of sterner stuff.
I’ve read that Natalie Porthound and Mila Canis really had to practice hard for this one…
I mean, to see them en pointe… amazing!
Arabesques are so difficult for bassets …
they don’t really have “Balanchine bodies”.
They need to practice and practice their allongé, just to do it.
Brava, ladies! Brava!
I looked at that human poster….
It’s beautiful, in its way…
But of course, basset ladies need their soft tutus….
they wouldn’t run around half naked like that!
