Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for September 26, 1987
Transcript:
Mom: bedtime, Calvin. Calvin: Where's Hobbes? Mom: I suppose he's wherever you left him. Calvin: You mean he's still in the woods?? It's night out! Mom: What have I told you about leaving your belongings? Calvin: Hobbes is lost! I'll get a flashlight! We've got to find him! Hobbes! Hobbes! Mom: Calvin, it's your bedtime! Don't you pull this stunt now!
My point exactly. His parents think calvin is doing dumb things for no reason, but actually, calvin thinks that hobbes is alive, and he therefore thinks that hobbes will make his way back home.
