Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for July 28, 1988
Transcript:
Mom: You found him! Thank goodness! Where was he? Dad: Looking at the tigers. Calvin: I followed another lady, thinking it was Mom, and then when I realized I was lost, I went to ask the tigers if they'd seen Hobbes. Mom: Next time you should ask a person for help. Calvin: ...Oh... That never occurred to me. Dad: Only next time, there won't be a next time, because we're just going to tie you to a stake in the yard every weekend. Mom: Dear! Calvin: A fat lot of hely your compatriots were, I might add.
See? Calvin is a true introvert—the ordinary response just doesn’t occur to him.
