Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for July 17, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: Well, there's no delaying the inevitable. Let's get in the car. Hobbes: Where are we going? Calvin: The same place we go every summer: camping on some desolate rock at the end of the earth. Hobbes: Again? Clavin: Yep. This is how dad like to unwind. Hobbes: With everyone complaining? Calvin: Right. He likes to watch us all suffer.
I still don’t see how the mom doesn’t demand that one year they go where she wants to go. I thought that when I was a kid, and now that I’m grown and married, we actually, you know, COMPROMISE and TALK about these things and try to find something we both want to do or experience. The dad always drove me crazy.
