Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 03, 1991
Transcript:
Calvin (Spaceman Spiff): The distant planet Z-12. Distant, that is, to everyone but Spaceman Spiff! The fearless explorer Spaceman Spiff cruises over the desolate dunes of an uncharted planet! No vegetation covers the rolling terrain. Millions of years of harsh exposure without an atmosphere has swept the surface clean. What strange chemicals must compose this alien soil! Crossing a rift, the rocks abruptly change color! Zounds! A huge mountain suddenly rises out of the plain! Our hero pulls up! Over the top, Spiff discovers it's not a mountain at all! The whole landscape is...is bedding for a horrendous monster! Dad: ZG! Hf! Whuh? All right, what time is it? Calvin: The creature appears hostile! With no time to lose, our hero readies a hydro bomb!
He woke his dad up at two in the morning??
