Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for April 25, 1995
Transcript:
Hobbes: What's with the face? Calvin: I'm doing stretches. Chewing Magazine says you should always warm up before yo chew gum. Did you know that neglecting to stretch the temoralis muscles is the leading cause of gum chewing injuries? Hobbes: What about falling down while chewing and walking? Calvin: With a good helmet, the risk is surprisingly small.
Bill Watterson, I would just like to say that I am a HUGE fan of your comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, so I would like to ask you: can you do a Calvin and Hobbes movie? All the great authors did it for their book series/comic strip. Diary of a Wimpy Kid has 4 movies, Garfield has countless movies and a few TV shows, and the Peanuts Movie couldn’t have been done without Charles Schulz! Don’t you see? You’re next in line! Just because you retired the strip doesn’t mean you have to retire the memory! So be even more of a hero for every kid who has ever read your strip, for everyone who has ever supported you, and for me.Sincerely, Anonymous
