Growing up, I remember we always had the fan blowing outward as part of a different cooling method: we’d draw the cooler air in, and expel the hotter air at night, then when it heated up during the day, we’d close the windows and the shades to retain the cool air inside.
It had only one problem: it didn’t work at all. But it was cheap, and THAT’S what was really important.
