To speed up play, Pine Ridge Country Club placed fire ant nests at every tee.
I used to live in Houston, Texas where fire ants are common and sometimes I would take a stick and tap one of their mounds. They came pouring out so fast that I would have to immediately drop the stick because there would already be fire ants crawling up on it toward my hand.
