A flying car is not that hard technically. It’s the thought of, for example, thousands of flying cars in Atlanta rush hour that’s so scary!
And not just Atlanta rush hour. Imagine being able to get in yor flying car and fly to Costco without having an accident with the flying car wanting to use the same air space to go to Walmart, or whatever.
The control structure needed to provide safe travel lanes for each flying car (all over the U.S. or Eurpope or wherever) would make the system currently in place for air trafic (commercial and private plane flights) look like tiddlywinks.
