Rev. Sloan: I just don't feel useful here, Rufus, and that's the truth of it! There's no longer a place for a man of moral mettle! The war's over, and no one cares anymore! Poverty, overpopulation, ecology, pollution - people just don't care one iota! Man: Oh, I don't know... Rev. Sloan: Even civil rights is a dead-end street! Whatever happened to black rage?! Man: For the moment, it's contained, but it's still alive, and pacing restlessly within the soul of a people. Rev. Sloan: Right! And meantime, I'm out of a job! Man: Now, don't be bitter.
