Mark: We'll be back with more news in sixty seconds! Tick! Tick! Tick... and we're delighted to have as our guest tonight Mr. Ernie Riback! Mr. Riback is a resident of New York's Bedford-Stuyvesant, and a survivor of last summer's blackout! Mr. Riback, first of all, tell us what it was like in Bed-Sty the night the lights went out! It was a nightmare, wasn't it! Man: Whew. I'll never forget it. That's for sure! I was killing silverfish in the kitchen when it happened. I got up and lit some candles and then I heard my wife cry out! "Come quickly, Ernie." She shouted, "there's been a complete breakdown of social controls!" I ran out onto the street and saw she was right! The mood was contagious! Before the night was out, I myslef acquired for resale twelve 21" screen Sony Trinitons! I netted about $1400 of that amount. #350 went ot sending Ernie, Jr. to summer camp. $250 as a political cotribution to Bella Abzug, and the remaining $800 I put in a savings account to help send my son to college! Mark: So you were able to cope, then? Man: Oh, gosh, yes! It was a tremendous opportunity.
