Zonker: Who is it, Bernie? Bernie: You know a Roland Burton Hedley, Jr., Zonk? Zonker: Uh... no... no, I don't. Roland: Trends, Zonker! That's where I'm at these days! Roonie's very concerned that ABC News have its own mood man! So that's why I was hoping you might be able to turn me on to any new trends here in you neck of the woods. Zonker: Well, I'm not sure I can help you there, Rollie... To tell you the truth, the problem is one of overkill. There're so many trends sweeping the nation these days, it's hard to find one to really call your own! Take your magazines, for instance. During the same week recently, "Time," and "Newsweek" ran cover stories on the cooking craze and the dieting craze... in other words, according to our major newsweelies, the two hottest trends are eating and not eating! So who knows? Lately I've been thinking of just staking out on my own... Roland: Good plan. I hear more and more people are doing that these days.
