Mark: Ev, let's take the gloves off, okay? Given the current hard times, do you think Reagan's relentless vacation schedule is winning him any points in the sensitivity department? Man: As a matter of fact, Mark, I do. You see, the president grew up during the depression. He remembers the old high society movies and what a great escape they were for poor people....that's why he takes off so much time. It's just Mr. Reagan's way of getting people's minds off their problems. Thanks to television, when he takes a vacation, the whole country gets to go along! Mark: Sounds great! Where are we off to next? Man: Beverly Hills! Palm Springs! New York! you tell us! They're your vacations, America!
