Zonker: Okay, Alex, time to turn off the tube! Hear me, ,Alex? Alex: No! No! Zonker: Alex... Alex: I wanna watch TV! Zonker: Alex, I told you that's your limit for the day! Alex: Waaa! Zonker: You can cry all you want, young lady, but you've had enough TV! There's more to life than the Disney Channel! It's time to do some things by yourself - color, look at your books, anything, but we're going to give the TV a rest. Alex: I hate you, Zonker! Zonker: I'm sorry, honey. Mike: You're getting a raise. Zonker: Well, I just think nine hours is enough.
You’re supposed to lose IQ points the longer you watch. In Alex’s case, then, she would have ended up finding the cure for cancer had she only had an hour of TV a day.
