Dan Quayle: President Quayle...President Quayle...has a nice ring to it! George Bush: Okay, any other business? Person: Yes, sir...Mr. President, you should know that many of us in the cabinet are finding it increasingly difficult to defend next year's ticket...frankly, sir, it's embarassing. Every Sunday, one of us finds himself on a talk show trying to argue with a straight face that Dan Quayle is fully qualified to be President. No one even believes that you believe it, sir, much less us! Bush: Well, I hear ya, Jack. But let me tell ya something. Danny's getting a bum rap! I have lunch with him once a week, and I gotta tell ya-he's a marvelous listener! Very good in the attention-span department! But I hear ya. There's this public percpeption thing...it's there...What do you think, Danny? Quayle: About what, sir?
