Mark: Sure, dad what amazes you most? Phil: That they go so little in return! Most of 'em shelled out top dollar, and what did they get back? Coffee! A sleep-over! Whoop-de-doo! For the same dough, republican donors like me not only got to consult on major legislation, but in '94 we actually wrote some of it! Mark: Interesting...so you think G.O.P. payoffs represent the better value? Phil: No comparison. I can get coffee at Starbucks.
