TV: ...and the following parts of The Bill Of Rights have been suspended... Duke: Some war on drugs! It's scorched Earth time! I've got to get home, pronto! They'll listen to me! I'm president of a respected medical college! Honey: Uh... you were, sir. Last week, Judge Dupuis ruled you incompetent. Duke: Dupuis? That treacherous old crock of slime! I've had him on retainer for two years! You can't trust anyone these days! Listen, Honey... Honey: President Honey.
Having discovered Doon a few months ago, sometimes I read that it’s considered to having lost its lustre in the 80’s, which leaves me wondering how much godamn better it could have been in the 70’s. Because, really, this is awesome.
Other times I half-wish the modern strips stopped. I definitely wish the cardboard noses go away.
And other times, many times, I read the comments here. And realize that whatever it was GT was trying to attack back in those decades has very clearly won.
