Drabble by Kevin Fagan for June 17, 2012
Transcript:
Norman: We're back, dad! Ralph: Where did you go today? June: We had a picnic in the park, went on a nature hike, saw the flower fields, and then went over to Aunt Betty's house for dinner. Norman: What did you do all day, dad? Ralph: Not much. I watched sports on TV, ate chips and junk, then took a nap! Basically, I just sat around all by myself in my underwear all day. Thanks for making this the best Father's day ever!! June: Glad you enjoyed yourself!
When none are in town, my kids will often call to ask Mom what are you going to do for Thankgiving, Easter, Mothers’ Day (you name it). I have a great retirement (not much money) but own my house and pool, have 2 TVs on TiVo and can still drive at my age so I have to answer – same as usual (depending on weather). I have never been to a spa and might like to try one of those days with exfoliation and a body wrap, but had to replace pool scrubber this year (not sure it is working right) and had a rail installed on the steps so I can exit gracefully.
