Drabble by Kevin Fagan for August 31, 2014
Transcript:
Patrick: What time is it, Norman? Norman: Almost midnight. Patrick: I have a strange feeling of foreboding! Norman: Relax, Patrick! It's normal to be uneasy on a camp-out! Don't worry. It's not dangerous. We're just in our own backyard! What could happen? Patrick: It sounds like it's raining! Norman: It can't be raining! Patrick: Look! There's something under the tent!! Norman: What the... Rip! Both: Aaaaaaaaahhhh!! Ralph: Where's Bear Grylls when you need him?
That happened to us in 2002, on the first night of our cross-country bike ride, though I only did the first week, from Everett WA to Missoula MT. We camped in a schoolyard and The sprinklers came on, just like today’s Drabble.
