Clerk: Bad news, Ralph! I can't save your favorite donuts for you anymore. "Donut-Saving" is a violation of the international donut shop owner's agreement. It's first come, first served. You'll just have to get here a little earlier! Ralph: What's the world coming to? Clerk: Can I interest you in these plain ones nobody wants?
What kind of donut shop makes only one batch in the morning? The good ones are making donuts all day. There’s always good one to buy (unless you show up close to closing.)
The donut cases on grocery stores and quickie-marts are different. They get one batch in the morning, and then they’re gone. But if you wait that long, then they’re going to be stale anyway.
