Just turn back to the Unite the Right march in 2017 (shortly after Pres. Trump’s election). And the phrase most remembered from that would be “Jews will not replace us!”. Did then Pres. Trump denounce them? Nope, he called them “very fine people”.
The right wing in America doesn’t believe in half measures. Criticize their policies and you’re a “Marxist” or “Communist” or “Socialist”. Criticize Israel and you’re a “Nazi” or an “Anti-Semite”. None of that has any basis in reality and it’s tiring to point that out. It’s kind of like that background music they play when you’re put on hold.
