April: Well, the pleats open up - so if you drop stuff at dinner, it falls into the cracks. That's why it's called a crumberbund!
This strip is really a soap-opera strip, but it’s established in genre of joke-a-day strips, so it needs a punchline. Often it can get one out the situation, which is part of why it’s a good strip. But if not … then it can always make a bad pun! ^_^
