Roger: Well, sweetie, we've finally caught up with the rest of the world and have now seen "Titanic." I've got to say, for a three-hour flick, that was pretty good. Andy: "Pretty good"?! "Pretty good"?! The most moving, exciting, wonderful, heart-wrenching, touching, romantic, powerful, eye-opening, tragic, perfect love story I think I've ever seen and you think it's just "Pretty good"?!?! Roger: Uh-oh. Andy: I'm not sure I want to go home with you tonight, Roger.
I went to another “great romance”, The Widow of Saint-Pierre https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Widow_of_Saint-Pierre , with two other single guys and two couples. We rogue males had a good time, not taking the movie too seriously (e.g. a main character has been condemned to be executed, but everyone likes him so they want him to escape, but he keeps coming back). We got to the end, the lights came up, and the two women with us were glaring at us for being unromantic.
