Andy: Peter, I wish you'd stop napping and would help out some. Peter: Don't blame me. It's all the Tryptophan in the turkey I ate. It's like nature's knock-out drug. Andy: That's a good excuse, except Thanksgiving dinner isn't for four more hours. Peter: I'm still digesting last year's Andy: By the way, this year you serve yourself after the rest of us.
My husband is allergic to tryptophan. Even the smell of cooking turkey closes his airways and makes him violently ill. We always have something else for Thanksgiving. This year we’re thinking about fish.
