Frazz by Jef Mallett for May 21, 2016

Caulfield: When a bike racer lets other racers draft off him, what's that called? Frazz: Leading. Pacing. Breaking wind. Caulfield: No, the other one, No, the other one. There we go! Frazz: You realize only old people use that term for either usage. Caulfield: And the rest of us still giggle when they do.
Hard to believe a bicycle could generate enough draft to influence another’s speed. Or that any low pressure it created would be far enough behind its rear wheel that another bike could get close to it. Think it might just be cyclists’ pseudoscience.
