Jon: I tried to impress my date with humor tonight. Garfield: Uh-oh. Jon: At dinner I stuck carrot sticks in my ears and smeared mashed potatoes all over my face. Garfield: Then what happened? Jon: Then she borrowed a quarter and called the police. Garfield: Ouch.
It must have been the timing. I do that on dates all the time, and never had a problem.
