Bobby Howry vs. Jarrod Hale: This game should never have even been played. Bobby took no chances, replacing Jarrod’s Gatorade supply with a sports drink placebo. (That exists?) Throughout the game all Jarrod kept talking about was how he should have been the starting quarterback 6 years ago. Down 25 at halftime, it was even worse the second half.
Bobby Howry 91 – Jarrod Hale 37
“Wildcat” Morris vs. Chris Styles: The veteran and craft Wildcat Morris completely dominated Chris Styles, who spent half the game hiding behind the backboard making out with Torrey Peake. Wildcat was able to save his sneakiest plays for a future game.
“Wildcat” Morris 88 – Chris Styles 34
Hadley V Baxendale vs. Mike Fillion: This game was a rout from the start. Mike Fillion was overheard muttering about how badly he just wanted to leave town, and once Hadley started on offense with one ridiculous plan after another, Mike just got more depressed. The game would have been more of a blowout had Hadley just shot more often, instead of launching into a long argument about why the ball should go in the basket.
Hadley V Baxendale 72 – Mike Fillion 40
Rich Golf Kids vs. Steve Boone: The Rich Golf Kids were ripe for an upset, but the one-armed wonder from Milford CC was too busy moping around the court to take advantage. Whenever they thought the ref wasn’t looking, The Kids would sneak a second ball onto the court and score on the opposite basket from where Steve was shooting. In the end, Steve put up a decent battle, with, you know, the one-arm thing going on.
