Passenger: Upper west side Columbia grad heading to occupy wall street to protest that no one's given him a job.
Driver: Ethiopian immigrant working one of three jobs in order to sock away enough dough to put himself through college.
Does the Ethiopian have $30,000 in student loans to pay off? Because those three minimum wage jobs won’t make a dent if he has that on top of his other obligations. And don’t forget that his three crappy jobs are all “part time” which means he is never given quite enough time to qualify for benefits, so, while he can put food on his table, his family has no health insurance. And because he is making $25,000 a year, which can’t possibly get him out of the rat-trap apartment the four of them are crammed into, he doesn’t qualify as “poor” and so gets no help from anyone.

The kid is also protesting that.
