Ralston: Ever wonder why so many cartoons are staged as chases? Is it just an excuse to show action? A relief from basic talking heads? Or is it more? An allegory for some sort of desire or struggle? If so, what does it say that the pursuer is inevitably foiled? Perhaps it's a statement on the hollowness of ambition... or merely pointing out that the journey is more important than the destination. Or maybe it's just funny to see someone get creamed.
