Captain Victorious: Well, now that you have my powers, Hamhock, I'll have to teach you all the ways of the hero! Hamhock: Well, first I'm gonna charge people to save them! Captain Victorious: What?! Listen, I might be a big sellout who gives his likeness to whomever pays the most, but I have never charged people to save them! Hamhock: Is it because you never thought of it? Captain Victorious: Stupid, stupid, stupid!!
I was recently watching an episode of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and almost this same thing happened. Superman and some looser get struck by lightning and the looser ended up with Superman’s powers and started charging people to save them. Only difference was Superman still had his powers at the same time.
