Interesting Carter quote, Humphries. I like it. Explains a lot. Of course, they can’t explain why God did change his mind between the Old and New Testaments. The usual explanation seems to be that they ignore Jesus’ explicit changes to Mosaic law and go with the “old school” instead. Of course, the literalists also have failed to read their Bible properly, in that there are two mutually exclusive creation stories, too. Sigh.
