I may be wrong but what I heard was that they put code in the software that detected whether only one set of wheels was turning, i.e., they were on a test platform and the car really wasn’t moving. that’s when the “cutoff” kicked in. When all four wheels are turning the software turns the cutoff off. I may be wrong, but that’s what I’ve heard
