The story I saw on the cop getting stopped, it was a righteous vehicle stop. At the same time, I’ve seen one of our local troopers constantly speeding, pulling illegal U-turns, and otherwise being a jerk. If they aren’t code 2 (warning lights) or code 3 (lights and sirens, ON A CALL) they MUST obey all vehicle codes. Of course, unless it’s outrageous, most tickets fro speeding are only for revenue, not safety, and radar/laser enforcement from “hideouts” should be against federal law in all states. The best way to control traffic speed IS a VISIBLE presence of a MARKED police car, moving WITH the flow of traffic, even if it might be a couple miles per hour over the “posted limit”.
