As a reaction to this inhumane act of fanatics, the US invaded Afghanistan to fight al Qaida which claimed responsibility for this attack. Instead of only hunting down the terrorist organization, the USA bombed the civilian population and killed some 100.000. The worst point is, that most citizens of the US do not understand why muslims and many other people outside the US judge this as being even worse and that the US has squandered their moral credibility by doing this. And for a European, it is ridiculous to see so many US politicians talking so much about Jesus and at the same time conducting one war after another. For me, 9/11 was a big shock and I felt for the victims and their relatives and friends. But I was also shocked, when the news came about the first big air-raid of the US in Afghanistan where more innocent civilians died in one night than died in the 9/11 attack. And that was only the beginning of it.
