I worked on a survey crew once. We were doing instrument inspections of cross-country pipelines for possible future leaks. Our first night on the road, we stayed in a motel outside of Wichita. The big story on the news that night was about a backhoe having dug into a gas pipeline. The video showed the backhoe completely engulfed in this huge fireball.
