Private charters are getting people out, not the US government. The state department is saying you can’t take them to the US. If another country defers to the US state department for their OK to allow those people to land in their country, the state department is not signing off on it. It’s all about vetting, you see, even though they brought unvetted people to the US on US Military flights out of Afghanistan. It really does look like the biden incompetents don’t want these NGOs making them look bad by getting people out that they left stranded. It goes against the narrative that there are less than 100 “non-stranded” but actually stranded Americans and they’re only still there because they want to be. Meanwhile, while that bunk was being propagated there were well over 100 Americans in planes ready to leave but being held up by the US state department, and there were another 100 or so trying to get to the airport but having no luck with the taliban. Every successful escape from Afghanistan is another reminder to the American people that we left people behind. Can’t have that! Their lives are less important than the narrative. Then there are the non-stranded Americans who have successfully been escorted out of the country by land by private efforts. Then the biden bozos step in and take credit because they didn’t prevent them from leaving and even were kind enough to have the US Embassy in the bordering country welcome them. Take credit for what, though? If they weren’t stranded then what is there to take credit for. Those people are just middle east tourists moving on to the next country on their itinerary. Oy!
