If you didn’t budget for a service you expect or include money for unexpected happenings then you made a bad budget. .When we first got married, I spent the first 3 months saving recipts and figureing out where our money tended to go, THEN I wrote a budget off of that. And like any good business, I compared budgeted to actual and adjusted monthly as needed/possible. And THAT is how we got out of grad school with minimal debt.
