Mr. Fogarty points to a bar graph and explains, "The earth abounds with life of all kinds. Of the 1.4 million species identified and named, more than half are insects!" Mr. F continues his lesson, "Trees, shrubs, and other higher plants make up the biggest group- around 250,000 species. And humans? Well, we mammals are relatively rare. In fact, there are more species of sponges than mammals!" Delta comments to Knute, "Hear that, Knute? You're ahead!" Knute responds, "Cool!"
I like how he never takes offence :)
