Transcript:
Mom: "You're talking to Quill?! It's 11:30!" Luann: "It's the only time we CAN talk!" Quill: "G'day, Mr and Mrs Degroot" Mom: "You can't be doing this, Luann" Dad: "I don't like that there's a boy in your room" Luann: "Dad-" Quill: "I'm 8,000 miles away, Mr Degroot"
None of this applied when I was young, but trust me, my mom totally had the last say on who I hung out with and what I wore. She was never physical, but I definitely feared that woman and wouldn’t go behind her back. Parents have it so much harder now with the technology, but I think it’s good that they are addressing the issue right away. At least they are there and concerned about what their teenage daughter is doing. I know a lot of single women who are “best friends” with their teenage daughters and I think it’s much more important to guide than to be best friends and share clothes. Yes, I know that I am about to be crucified. Bring it on, just know that I will not play with you and lambasting me will only result in your venting because I will not answer you, it’s just my opinion.
