Transcript:
Dad: "I'd fogrotten what a hunk Quill is and how much Luann dotes on him. Maybe it's a good thing she DIDN't get into drama camp" Mom: "Well, we have to trust her sometime, honey. Just as we do with her driving" Dad: "Right. Driving" Luann: "Quill and I will be in my room till dinner's ready" Dad: "It's ready!" Mom: "It is?"
I registered for this website as I had a student talking in my class over media content. We had a lengthy discussion over escapism and how the internet plays into that false sense of security. We also had many laughs at most of the comments, and not in the traditional humorous way.
I can safely say, that if you are actually comparing a 30 year old comic strip in every day life then you are in desperate need of separating yourself from internet.
Luann is fake. The characters are fake, the stories are fake, everything about this comic strip is supposed to be funny not give you that release of escapism. Please seek help from your local therapist.
