Miss Phelps: "Mr. Fogarty and I will be chaperones at the prom. Are you attending. Miss Halper?" Bernice: "No. Delta and I are going to feed a needy family" Miss Phelps: "Well, good for you! Who remembers prom 40 years later anyway?" Bernice: "So you didn't go to yours?" Miss Phelps: "No, like you, I chose to be sensible and do something important!" Bernice: "What was that?" Miss Phelps: "I.... um... Let's see..."
Delta doesn’t want to go, so she shouldn’t. Bernice does want to go, so she should (if she can find a date). That’s pretty much all there is to it, so will we have to stretch this out for 2 more months? It seems to have gone on way too long already.
