Neil: Oh, no! I fell asleep before finishing my book for school! If I go to school, I'll fail the reading test! But, if I skip school to finish reading, I'll miss the test! I can't win! There should be a word for situations like this.
I’m from Canada and I’ve never heard of this summer reading requirement. I recall being encouraged to read over the summer but there was never any testing on it and no assigned reading lists. Is this actually a common thing?
