When Merriam-Webster put out their first dictionary, the young lads ran into a problem. Merriam: HONOR. Webster: We're not qualified to define it! They consulted the ONLY man who knew of the term - the physical manifestation of it: JOHN MCCAIN. John McCain: Integrity! Country first! A cause greater! Man: Uh-huh. For decades he owned the word. Now people are wondering if he forgot what it means. Woman: McCain is a CRANKY SLIMEBALL! Where's the ol' MAVERICK OF HONOR? But words change over time. Slang develops. To McCain, "honor" is a word like "sick." John McCain: It can mean you are totally awesome...or morally deranged. And you're looking at a man of HONOR!
