Mike Huckabee recently said of the Iran deal that Obama will - and I quote: Mike Huckabee: Take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven. Time Out Corner Now, maybe that's how he talks about every little thing... Mike Huckabee: It's a regular kristallnacht down here! Wife: Mike, I dropped a glass. Or MAYBE it's a metaphor for something more accurate... President Barack Obama: Hey, Israelis! Come up to the oven! President Barack Obama: I made you a very palatable thing. Not perfect, not terrible either! President Barack Obama: If you eat it, I'll give you more weapons.
That’s all well and good, but Huckabee is obviously anti-Hitler in the scheme of things, and he is suggesting that appeasement with Iran is similar to previous appeasement of Hitler in Europe. I don’t find the statement particularly provocative, because the negotiations with Iran actually relate to the future well-being of the Jewish nation, and thus is not in accord with other outlandish Nazi comparisons proffered since WWII. I don’t necessarily agree with Huckabee, but the outcry against his statement is lacking in intellectual honesty.
